In Remembrance of Tim Liszewski
Tim died of COVID-19 on March 28. He lived in Columbia, SC, where he worked as the Indivisible National Representative for SC and other states. He was 60 years old and recently married. Indivisible Beaufort steering committee, along with Lowcountry Indivisible and Sun City indivisible, had met with Tim here in Beaufort several months ago. He worked hard to get all the South Carolina Indivisible groups communicating and working toward the common goal of flipping the state. He had come to believe, as we do, that Senator Lindsey Graham is vulnerable and can be unseated and he helped all the Lowcountry groups toward that end. He made it possible for funds to be transferred from northern (blue) state Indivisible groups to assist in our work here. He was a lifelong political and civil rights activist and he will be missed.
Staying Engaged and Informed
As we stay away from social gatherings, we can still participate in informing our voters about candidates in the upcoming primaries and election. To that end, we are asking you to help us gather information that we will then disseminate to our readers.
Candidates
Please send us information you have collected on any of these candidates and we will publish their track records in preparation for the November election. (Suggested by Sue Cosner)

The Peace of Wild Things
When despair grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting for their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Please continue to send us your suggestions about how we can continue to share ideas, emotions, and hope, as well as how we can help each other. Do you or someone you know need groceries? Do you need someone to talk with on the phone? Are you feeling alone? Do you have hopeful thoughts you want to share? Do you have the time and energy to respond to needs that arise in our community? How can we thank and show solidarity with those who are risking their health for us?

Let's Go To The Movies!
When Austin, Texas, had to cancel this year's SXSW festival, many independent filmmakers lost the opportunity to share their vision with the world. With the help of Oscilloscope Labratories, Mailchimp (the software we use to produce this newsletter) created a digital home for this year's incredible slate of short films on Mailchimp Presents, so you can watch them - #supporttheshorts - from wherever you are.
