Devotional
Recently a long-time friend of mine lost her husband to cancer. In a phone call she asked me if I still talk to my husband. I told her every day. I see him, I hear him, and I know that he is with me. Do I grieve? Yes, I do, but I also know that he is still watching and taking care of me. When something breaks and I have to fix it now, I hear him say, “Read the directions, Phyllis.” If I have a problem I need to talk to him about, I find my answers in his voice. That gives me so much joy!
My faith gives me that same reassurance. I know that the Lord is watching over me so that I am taken care of. He, through my husband, helps me resolve all the problems and anxieties I find myself coping with. All I have to do is open myself up to listen and receive the answers.
I know that my husband and Jesus are working together to give me the best life I can have. As Pastor Alan often says, we are a resurrection church. If it weren’t for God’s sacrifice of His son for us, I wouldn’t have the support
