You may have seen the various notifications about our trash service today, but yes, they came out too late. When I got my first text message and phone call, they had already been through our development.

But for any of you who haven’t been notified, here’s the notice from Republic:
Effective Monday, March 30th and until further notice, Republic Services will be operating under the following guidelines:
We will only accept waste placed in plastic bags. Bags must not exceed 50 lbs. and must be tied securely. Drivers and helpers will not be authorized to pick up loose trash.
We may need to use alternative disposal methods if there are disruptions to recycling processing capabilities or if recycling contamination increases. It’s important to keep waste out of your recycling container.
Further clarification:
No loose trash.
No bulk items.
No yard waste - even if it’s bagged.
No bins or trash cans or rollaways will be emptied.
ONLY trash or recyclables in plastic bags placed on the curb.
