Sorry, we don't have any April Fool's pranks for you today...just this mesmerizing demonstration of how we should all be washing our hands several times a day for 20 seconds each time!

We hope you are all safe, healthy, and taking advantage of social distancing
to work on projects, self-care, and family bonding!
In this month's newsletter, we have more information about our response to COVID-19 and how you can help.

The Amazing Give Emergency Relief

As Peaceful Paths remains open during this crisis, our need for financial support is greater than ever. We know these are uncertain times for everyone, so we appreciate any amount you are able to give. Every dollar will support our vulnerable clients and their children.

To best assist our clients, the Peaceful Paths Amazing Give donation page has been re-purposed for our Emergency Relief Campaign.

Our goal this week is to raise $1,000 by Saturday, April 4, which can provide two weeks of safe shelter to a domestic violence survivor.
We have raised $125 toward this week's goal.
We have raised a total of $1265 since March 23rd.
Thank you to all of our supporters!

New Outreach Office Hours for April

More ways YOU can help!

We have many basic needs
that the community can help with!

Our Outreach Office remains open at 2100 NW 53rd Ave Suite A Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and we can only accept basic need and gift card donations at this time. Due to limited staff, we are unable to take most clothing and non-essential items unless we specifically arrange for that.

Supporters can visit our Amazon Wish List and ship donations directly to us, or you can drop them off at the Outreach Center and buzz the receptionist. She can get you an in-kind receipt, and you don't have to go inside!

Here's a quick list of our current needs:
Gift cards to Publix, Walmart, Aldi and Amazon
Food for pantry (non-perishable)
Cleaning wipes/products
Disposable gloves
Lysol spray
Kleenex
Napkins

You can view our full basic needs list here!

Food Providers/Restaurants
If you have surplus (prepared or non-perishable) food you would like to donate to our residents and on-campus staff, please contact Brandi Corbin at brandic@peacefulpaths.org to arrange. Please do not drop off prepared food without arranging ahead of time.

Donate your way!
You can always donate directly from our website at peacefulpaths.org/donate.
Select a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift.

We are also setting up Pay Pal and Venmo accounts as a future option!
Thank you for all you do to support us!

Peaceful Paths in the News

As we shelter in place, Peaceful Paths recognizes that home may not be the safest place for everyone in our community, especially during stressful times like the coronavirus pandemic.

We'd like to thank CBS4 and The Gainesville Sun for spreading awareness about the increased risk of domestic violence during this time.

We're Counting on You to Complete
the 2020 Census!

April 1 is Census Day!

Completing the 2020 Census determines our community's share of funding for:

Schools & School Lunch
Job Training
Roads & Buses
Emergency Response
Health Care Centers
Head Start
WIC & SNAP
Children's Health Insurance
Home Loans
Housing Assistance
Medical Facilities
Business & Industry Loans

Alachua County lost $390 million in funding over the last 10 years because our whole community was not fully counted in the last Census. Commit 10 minutes to completing your Census in 2020!

Mark your Calendar!
