In Search of Kindness Stories
We are thankful for everyone's efforts to reach out to their communities amidst this chaotic time. We would love to hear about the ways you are reaching out to others. We encourage you to send us a brief report along with photos or short video clips to communication@montanaadventist.org to share with our Montana Herald subscribers. Below are some ideas.
Become Nextdoor App Detectives
If you are part of or are interested in joining your neighborhood Nextdoor app, you could ask your neighbors if anyone self-isolating is in need of assistance. Alternatively, you could assist neighbors already asking for help.
Offer Drop By Reading Sessions
If you know neighbors or church members with little ones, offer to drop by and read some storybooks from a safe social distance.
Become Chalk Artists
Write favorite bible verses and/or draw your favorite drawings on your driveway or sidewalk so those who walk by can be uplifted. You can also leave an encouraging note and/or drawing at friend's driveways for a pleasant surprise.
Use or Start a Neighborhood Free Library
Some neighborhoods have free book libraries in front of homes where people can drop or take free books. Why not drop off some non-perishables for those in need and encourage others to do the same?
Make Encouraging Calls
Think of people you know who may be feeling isolated and call them up to see how they are doing, offer to sing or pray with them if they are up for it. communication@montanaadventist.org

WWU Open House & Seminar Postponed
The open house event scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 at the Walla Walla University, School of Social Work, Missoula Campushas been postponed. The event will be rescheduled for a later date; and, information will be provided when details are all worked out.
Dear Montana Conference Family,
Due to the current global pandemic and the call to be prudent by practicing social distancing, the Forgiveness Seminar scheduled for April 4 and 5 is postponed.
The sponsors of the Forgiveness Seminar encourage everyone to engage in socially responsible behavior and follow protocols that help with flattening the curve.
We will announce the new date for the Forgiveness Seminar when details are worked out.
In the meantime, join me in praying for those who are sick and those who are scared as this global pandemic has changed many lives. Some have lost loved ones, jobs, income, and hope. So, continue to pray for those whose lives have changed.
This global pandemic is real, but let’s not forget that God is real and He is a Healer, a Comforter, a Provider.
I encourage you to stay faithful, be prayerful, and continue to trust in God.
Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
- Psalm 103:2-4

Now, more than ever, we have the opportunity to press together and collectively pray for our nation and our world in this time of global health crisis.
Here in the Northwest, we’ve set aside April 10 as a special day of prayer and fasting. It’s part of a larger prayer effort by our world church, the 100 Days of Prayer, March 27–July 4.
Adventists from all six conferences in the North Pacific Union are invited to participate in this special day of prayer. In addition to extra personal prayer focus April 10, you’re invited to join a special Facebook Live prayer
conference from 6 to 8 p.m. Pacific at https://www.facebook.com/NWAdventists/

Adventist Community Service Announcements
1. ACS Montana Disaster Response is working with the Montana VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) to see how we can respond during this pandemic. Many of our volunteers are elderly and in high-risk groups, so we need to be innovative at the local level as to how we may be able to meet needs. There are several local COADs (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) that are organized and may be involved. Some of those are Gallatin County, Ravalli, and Missoula. PLEASE let me know if any of our members are assisting with any pandemic-related activities. ACS DR needs to report the hours you spend, or equipment you use, to FEMA, to track community involvement.
2. One of the best ways to help in any disaster, including the current one, is to support local non-profit organizations with MONETARY contributions. Please consider donating to your local food banks, homeless shelters, or through the ACS donations website http://www.communityservices.org/. Some of our Conferences are responding to other disasters such as tornadoes which are happening in tandem to the Coronavirus health crisis.
3. Our NAD ACS office is also collecting stories of how we are continuing to serve in spite of the challenges. Please send me your stories so I can pass them on to our NAD leaders.

Pathfinder Bible Experience Hosted in Ronan
Young people clad in khaki and black uniforms punctuated with yellow scarves filled the hallways of the Glacier Seventh-day Adventist church on February 29. Ignorant of the impending health crisis about to alter public events, the youth enjoyed meeting up with friends from across the Montana Conference for the annual Conference level Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE).
