Message of the Spiritual Council of AZI

___

Temple zen de la Gendronnière 41120 Valaire France

Dear friends of the AZI,

I hope you're doing well in this unexpected and unusual time. While all the temples and Dojos of the AZI have been closed for the past fortnight, I hope that you are able to continue practicing in good conditions at home and that the virus does not create too difficult a situation for you and your entourage.

Many initiatives are being taken in the different Sangha in order to allow everyone to maintain common and shared links and practices. Thus the AZI Spiritual Council will regularly send you the message of one of its members.

We also ask you to give us the names of your relatives or members of your Dojos, who are in difficulty, in order to dedicate to them the Kito ceremonies organized in the temples and Zen Centers of the AZI several times a week. You can also send us the names of deceased persons to whom you wish to pay tribute. To do so, please send your messages with the names to azg.contact@gmail.com .

In addition, I am often contacted by the State services who wish to be informed of the difficulties encountered by the Buddhist communities. Do not hesitate to send me any information concerning the accompaniment of the sick, human problems of any kind, funeral ceremonies or more material issues such as financial losses in your centres.

At a time when many people are busy filling their days with activities and information of all kinds, allow me to share with you this beautiful phrase by poet Marianne Williamson:

"It is the light that frightens us most, not our shadow".

In these moments of confinement and reduced activity, it is no doubt by turning to this light, silence and recollection, that we will find the most comfort.

Wishing you a good retreat, a little constrained, it is true, all my wishes of health for you and your loved ones,

Fraternal regards,

Olivier WANG-GENH
