- We had 11 members attend our virtual Kiwanis meeting! I hope you will plan on joining us next Tuesday, April 7. On Monday, I will send you a reminder with a link to join on your computer or tablet, which can be video if you have a camera on your device. There will also be a phone number to call if you do not have internet or would rather not use video. This is a great way to catch up with everyone and see how we're all doing. We'll also have a speaker at each virtual meeting. We will continue this on a weekly basis at least through the end of April as Kiwanis International has asked clubs not to meet until then.
- If you are in need of anything during this difficult time, please reach out to your Kiwanis Family. You can reply to this newsletter and we'll find someone who can help!
- If you are doing anything to help others during this time, please let Elaine know so she can report on service hours in her monthly report.

Our speaker was Julie Goodwin from the Better Business Bureau. She told us about some scams that are happening due to the Corona Virus. A few points she mentioned were:
- There are fake websites selling masks, hand sanitizers and other items people are needing during this time. They can steal your information, resulting in identity theft
- People are selling products to prevent the virus or a vaccine for the virus. These are fake.
- As people start receiving government issued checks they will not need to pay any money or give out any information in order to receive it.
- Delete any text messages from the US Government. They don't communicate through social media, emails or texts.
- Visit the scam tracker on the BBB website to report scams or see an interactive map. You can read about some of the most recent scams.
