For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes ... Romans 1:16
If your child has not yet made a personal profession of faith, let's pray for that today. And if your child has, let's pray for the message of the gospel to continue to transform their lives and for them to be empowered to share it with others.
For salvation:
God,
3 John 1:4 says "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth," and I agree with that truth. More than anything else, I want my children to know the seriousness of their sin and the power of Your forgiveness. Draw them to Your grace and answer their prayers of salvation. I want to be faithful as a parent to do everything I can to encourage them to take these steps of faith. Help me to do so. In Jesus's name, amen.

For living out the gospel message:
God, I celebrate that my child has a personal relationship with You. Thank You for forgiving his/her sins. As they walk through daily life, I want them to remember they are empowered by the Holy Spirit. Let _____ not be ashamed, but to live out his/her convictions with boldness. May they be a light wherever they are in this dark world. Help me to be an example as I strive to do this as well. In Jesus's name, amen.
With Your Child:
If you child has made a profession of faith, talk to him or her about their memories of that time today. Tell them what happened from your perspective. Celebrate what God has done in their lives! If you child hasn't taken that step yet, talk to your child about the time you made your profession of faith. Walk them through the prayer you prayed and how God changed your life!
