Hello out there in the strangest timeline! I sincerely hope this email finds you and yours safe and healthy.

So throughout February I was very excited to make an announcement to this list. A lot has changed but this much remains: My wife and I are in the process of opening up a brick and mortar record shop called DEADLY WAX right here in Granada Hills, deep in the San Fernando Valley north of Los Angeles. It's big big news and we are very excited! Of course, the minor details such as "When the heck can we get this thing up and running?" look a lot different than they did a month ago. But stay tuned, as we are very excited to keep you posted throughout this adventure.

My initial plan was to basically pause the LP Guru website for the near future to allow us to build the best shop possible. So I've been busy pulling together what I had planned to be a fun last blast before a website break. It took a bit longer than I had planned but here we are, with a slew of great new finds on the website just waiting to become social distancing soundtracks.

Please visit the site to see what's new. It's a great and wide ranging set of stuff including very affordable keeper copies of beloved favorites, some cool and rare finds, and plenty of that top-tier audiophile level stuff that I've been finding for hi-fi junkies for the last decade and a half.

What happens next, I honestly have no idea. I have some truly amazing store stock set aside for the future Deadly Wax and I'd love to reserve most of it so we can open with a bang. But as bills pile up and these four walls close in a bit (I'm not losing my mind, there's just a TON of records in the house right now and now three of us working and schooling onsite) perhaps I'll start listing some of that stuff up here. Not sure if there's an audience in this motley crew for the kind of store stock (everything from clean common records to truly wild rarities) that I'm sitting on, but I suppose there's only one way to find out! Or maybe we get a big response to this mailer and I'm inspired to keep cranking out the curated finds. Gang, it's a confusing time and I'm as uncertain of anything as the rest of us.

This much is for sure no matter what: i am always happy to work on vinyl projects for any of you individually. This was the main focus of my business before launching the website and I plan to keep that going. That can mean anything from sourcing you exceptionally strong copies of your favorite albums, trying to track down something that's eluding you, or just building a box of clean, high-performing copies to your taste. Tracking down great pressings for serious listeners has been my livelihood for a long time and I don't plan on letting up anytime soon. Please drop me a line at todd@lpguru.com with any questions or projects you'd like me to tackle. Or just to let me know you're doing OK!

Let me discuss international shipping real quick -- it's tricky. I'm happy to try DHL or UPS as I believe they are still doing pickups for worldwide shipping (I might be wrong on this). But I've been told USPS International (which is cheaper) needs to be walked into a post office and I am currently not making any trips there. I am more than happy to hold your order as long as needed to get things sorted out, as I'm sure will happen before too long. We'll get it all figured out, and I appreciate your patience in this weird time.

Thank you everyone!
Please be safe, stay healthy, and be good to each other.
