April update

As you know, one of things many children like doing is putting money in boxes or bags. Indeed, we have a team of young sides people at the All Age mass who really enjoy taking the collection bags round the congregation.

Of course we now can’t go to church, and one of the fathers from the 9 o'clock asked how he could continue making the same family donation while the services were suspended.

If you feel the same way, the answer is to set up a Standing Order to the church - you can stop or change it whenever you like, so when we are all back in the real world, your children can go back to putting your donations in the collection plate if you like.

On the church website: (Home tab, Giving) you will find a Standing Order mandate form. You could fill this in and send it to your bank, but if you do online banking you can set it up yourself with the church details next time you log in to your account. (There's also the Gift Aid form which would increase the value of what you are giving of course - we claim this currently under the HMRC allowance for small cash donations).

Amazingly, ‘congregations' for Matins, Mass and particularly Compline at the very end of each day reach between 50 and 70+! Click on the Facebook icon at the top right of the website homepage to join in - you don’t have to have a Facebook account to do this.

And the liturgy is on the Daily Prayer app. Switch between contemporary (for Matins) and traditional (for Compline) using the menu option in the bottom left corner of the page.
