These are unprecedented and difficult times. We are all facing the challenges of adjusting to a variety of drastic changes and disruptions to our daily routine. We hope everyone is staying healthy and using this precious time to enrich your life by doing things that had been buried under all the tasks of the daily grind.
While we had to postpone our in-person courses, pool sessions, local and international dive trips, and eco activities until further notice, there are still ways for us to stay connected and continue learning from the safety and comfort of your home.
We at Ocean Safari are using our extra time to prepare series of dive and outdoor related webinars, servicing your equipment, and providing door to door free shipping service for equipment purchase.

California Fish Identification
This seminar will teach you to recognize and identify some of the common species of fish found off the California coast. You will learn the anatomy and morphology of fish which are tools to help you describe & identify unfamiliar fish. You'll also learn about interesting fish behaviors, hear stories of close encounters, and learn about species that are delicious and sustainable for eating!

$15 per session, but for those financially affected in this time of hardship $10 (please write how much you would like to pay in the “notes” section of the reservation)

Scuba Equipment Maintenance and Repair

We encourage our community to let us service your equipment that is due or near due for service. This is one of the few things we can do now to stay afloat! For the areas in our vicinity we will provide free pick-up and drop-off service. Of course, we will practice safe social distancing when we pick up and drop off your equipment, and we follow a regimented process for equipment disinfection before returning them to you. For areas farther away where pick-up/drop-off is not feasible, we will cover the shipping cost for both in-bound and out-bound delivery. Please be assured that at our shop we have put in place strict procedures for health and safety for our staff, including staff hand washing and disinfection of common surfaces. Our technician works alone, and we follow a disciplined policy for equipment disinfection based on manufacturer’s guidelines.
