 ISRAEL'S COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
Like most of the rest of the world, Israel continues to impose more restrictions to help curtail the spread of the Covid-19. On a personal level, we have been asked to stay inside the Aliyah Return Center (ARC) campus. On rare occasions, Les is asked to travel outside to get gas for equipment and vehicles. Our location is a bit unique because the campus is located in a kibbutz. As things have got more serious, the kibbutz has become more concerned about foreigners being present. Our desire is to show our willingness to comply and not create further concerns by seeming to be insensitive to the kibbutz’s concern.
Inside the campus, we do observe social distancing, keep meetings under 10 people, currently, have implemented a handwashing regiment, and perform temperature monitoring on a daily basis. We hear of more restrictive requirements that are pending, and we are hoping all this leads to a quicker recovery from the very tragic impact of the coronavirus.
Our thoughts, at this point, are to stay in Israel and avoid any necessary travel to get back to the U.S. We feel like we are in a safe place and have a faith community around us for encouragement and fellowship. This is the current information from U.S. officials: “The Department of State advises U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19. In countries where commercial departure options remain available, U.S. citizens who live abroad should arrange for an immediate return to the United States, unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period.”

 My Grace is sufficient. Sometimes we need to walk through the fire, but the LORD promises we will not be burned. Sometimes we pass through the waters, but He will be there with us.  The Lord Knows. Wow, what a year! The Lord was on my side. It doesn’t matter what people are saying about you, He is for you. Everything has a purpose in life. All our efforts will bear fruit in His time. When at any breaking point in which we cannot see how to move another step, the LORD is there to help, if you call out to him.
