🌍 spreading kindness

Greetings from afar!

Now more than ever, it's good to stay connected with community. And when we can't be together face-to-face, a virtual connection is the next best thing!

Watch now: keep calm and coexist

April is both Earth Month and National Poetry Month. Read on for Melissa Thornton '20 on the importance of poetry in times of chaos, consider yourself invited to the last three senior colloquium events of the 2019-20 academic year (Zoom link for Monday, April 6th at noon, below), offer your congrats to our COE Phi Beta Kappa honorees, and more.

Have a story to share? Doing your part to help your community or have tips for the rest of us on surviving and thriving? I hope you'll reach out.

Stay safe, all!

🔬 scholarship never stops
Before domestic travel was affected by COVID 19, Barry Chernoff, Antonio Machado-Allison and ENVS306/Tropical Fish Ecology students swapped their planned two-week adventure in South America for a road trip from Wes to UMich, where they used the lab facilities to publish two new fish species of fish: one from Honduras and one from Columbia. Congrats, all!
