Sensity is committed to the safety, health and well being of our staff and the individuals we support. We are taking measures to minimize the transmission of infectious disease and ensure the ongoing health of all those who we serve.

Statement re: COVID-19

We’re happy to announce the applications for 2020 Children’s Intervenor Services Funding Program is now open!

Sensity’s Children’s Intervenor Services program is designed to assist children who are deafblind to be involved in their communities with the support of Intervenor services.

The funding is also intended to support family caregivers with training opportunities related to deafblindness, as well as with the costs associated with assessment or consultation related to the condition of deafblindness.

All Applications must be received by the Sensity office no later than April 17, 2020.

Sensity’s upcoming “Uncover Your Greatness” Conference has been postponed amid concerns about the novel coronavirus.This event was originally set for April 23-26, 2020 in Blue Mountain is now postponed until later in the fall.
A big Thank You to SC Johnson Canada in Brantford @SCJPCanada for this generous donation of cleaning supplies and household necessities.Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces daily is among the best ways to protect ourselves from COVID-19. We are trying our best to safeguard the health of the people we support and our essential staff of intervenors who are on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19. These products from SC Johnson will help us keep a cleaner and safer environment and important allow us to practice social isolation by preventing unnecessary shopping trips. We also applaud SC Johnson’s recent donation of $250,000 to the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation in the fight against COVID-19.
Thank you to Julie of The Paris Soapery for this much needed and timely supply of hand sanitizer spray and hand sanitizer cream. For some people who are deafblind, touch is the only way to communicate. Maintaining clean hands is vital in helping stop the spread of COVID-19. The Paris Soapery @theparissoapery is usually found in Wincey Mills market in downtown Paris. With the market closed during the pandemic, Julie is providing free, no-contact porch delivery within Brant County.We truly appreciate the support of this community-minded business. Support local businesses when you can during this challenging time. #ShopLocalBrant
