DOING GOOD

"Know That There's Hope"

How are we holding up pals? Day to day? Sounds about right. We’ve gone remote, just like everyone else, and like everyone else, we’re figuring it out. This guy summed it up nicely: “You are not working from home; you are at your home during a crisis trying to work.” And you know what? We’re doing alright. More on that in a minute.

First, let's look for the helpers:

IL Humanities: Emergency Grants for Small Organizations
IL Covid-19 Response Fund: Support Nonprofits in Need
Brave Space Alliance: Donate to the Crisis Pantry and Trans Relief Fund
Cedar’s Feeds the Front Lines: $40 Buys a Meal for 4 Health Workers
DIY Face Masks: Keep Yourself and Others Safe (We’re donating old Camp Firebelly tees to a local DIY hero to make more masks!)

What small measure of good can we each do this day?

Trust the Process

The work continues—not quite as normal, but with all the standard love and hustle. In the last month, we’ve run a few remote workshops, branded a couple of super cool apps, renamed a foundation and designed a campaign, all of which we can’t wait to share. For now, how about a tasty new case study?

Feast your eyes on Sustain Chicago, a one-stop shop for helping residents go green. Given, you know, everything, this one feels timely. We have to invest in the future we want, and we’ve gotta start at home, in our neighborhoods, with ourselves and those around us. The process for this one was deeply collaborative, iterative and wildly educational. Take a peek.
