Good Morning Boston,

☔ Rainy, raw and chilly. Highs in the mid-40s.

Coronavirus By The Numbers: In Mass. there are 1,118 new positive cases as of last night, 7,738 total reported cases, 51,738 total patients tested, 682 people who are or have been hospitalized and 122 deaths.

Here are the must-know headlines on the local coronavirus outbreak from the past 24 hours:

More than 100 Massachusetts residents have died of illnesses related to the coronavirus. That's a 37% jump in deaths from the day before.

- Yesterday Gov. Charlie Baker announced an independent investigation into the deadly outbreak at the Holyoke Soldiers' Home. Fifteen residents have now died at the state-run facility for veterans, and two have died at Holyoke's sister facility in Chelsea.

- Baker also mentioned the state is considering converting the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport into a field hospital for COVID-19 patients.

- There are now at least 35 confirmed cases of the virus in state jails and prisons. And eight priests have also tested positive for COVID-19.

P.S. We've hit some grave milestones this week and that can really take a toll on us all emotionally. I've been turning to our arts and culture team's pop culture care package, filled with content to help self-soothe.
