#LittletonLove

"The true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members."
Littleton continues to amaze us!  In the time of a global crisis, our community has shown it's true colors and stepped up to help those that have been affected by the pandemic.  In effort to comply with Colorado's Stay Home orders, LFS will not be hosting regularly scheduled food bank services and as an alternative, we have offered bags of food and grocery gift cards.  Since March 17, we have been able to serve 143 individuals with our, "Food for Friends," campaign.  Donors from all over have made sure we have funds available to keep this program running strong and ensure that no one has to go hungry.  There are so many of you that have made generous contributions and we can't thank you enough for the support.  Together we can do so much to lift each other up!

Mary Beth Graff (left) is an extremely talented photographer and dedicated LFS volunteer.  She organized #thefrontstepsproject and snapped pictures of families on their porches during this unique time in history.  Mary Beth asked for donations to be made to Littleton Family Services and brought in over $1,000.  We are so grateful for her continued support and her creative fundraising!  Kate San (right) is a longtime Littleton resident and has seen the need firsthand.  She loves her community and she loves giving to others.  Kate knew that many would be impacted by the Covid crisis and immediately reached out to see how the San family could support our organization.  Their generosity will feed dozens of families and alleviate some of their stress during this time of financial uncertainty.
Last week we got a wonderful surprise! Edmond Valencia is a member of the Littleton Rotary and he recommended us for a grant.  We've been awarded $1,000 to keep the, "Food for Friends," program running.  We appreciate the community support and belief in our mission and will be able to help so many neighbors in need.
Easter is Sunday, April 12th and Littleton Family Services believes that regardless of what is going on in the world, all children should be able to celebrate holidays!  Please help us create kits for parents to put together their own children's Easter basket.  Simply purchase items you'd put in an Easter basket and drop it off to us by Friday, April 10th and we will deliver it to a local family.  Contact us at support@littletonfamilyservices.org to learn more.
