Who's up for dinner and a movie?

Just because we're not going out doesn't mean we can't be out-of-our-minds excited for some awesome online events! Join us Thursdays for a series of free, fun activities you can enjoy from the safety of your own home.

We'll kick things off tomorrow, Thursday, April 2 for a Downtown resident Netflix Watch Party of the Albany-filmed Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg comedy The Other Guys. Spot familiar locations and enjoy a (much-needed) laugh along with your neighbors. Download the Netflix Party app for the Chrome browser and look out for a link to the watch party from us on Thursday afternoon. You'll need a laptop or desktop computer with the Chrome browser and a Netflix account to tune in. Pairs well with take-out or delivery and drink specials being offered by your favorite Downtown restaurant. Upcoming events will include live trivia with The Excelsior Pub (April 9) and a dance party featuring DJ Trumastr (April 15).

• Move Mondays: Let's get our move on! To help make sure your body and mind are being cared for, we're partnering with Downtown businesses to bring you Move Monday. We invite you to participate in a complimentary online fitness class each week, brought to you courtesy of the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District. By participating in Move Mondays, you agree to these terms.

• Take-out Tuesday: Many Downtown restaurants are offering take-out and delivery these days, and we love seeing what you're ordering! Keep those pics coming, and use #SupportsmAlbany anytime you order from a Downtown restaurant because each week we'll pick a person at random to receive a $25 gift certificate to a Downtown eatery. The first winner will be chosen based on photos shared March 31 through April 6. Enter for the first week with a photo on this Facebook post, or by using #SupportsmAlbany in your social posts. • Quarantine Cuisine: Looking to level up your meals while cooking at home? We're partnering with Downtown restaurants on Quarantine Cuisine! Keep an eye out on our Facebook page every Wednesday for our call to share a picture of the ingredients you have (or email it to info@downtownalbany.org). Each week we'll choose one photo and two different Downtown restaurant chefs/owners will create a recipe based on what you have in your kitchen. If yours is chosen, not only will you get meal ideas, you'll also get a $50 gift certificate to the participating eatery of your choice.
   
• Fashion Friday: From comfy clothes to a fashion mullet (professional on top, PJ pants on bottom for those video conferences), we want to see what you're wearing while you're home. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for our call to share a picture of what you're donning these days, and each Friday, starting April 3, we'll pick a person at random to win a $25 gift card to a Downtown retailer.
