APRIL perspective

We are in unprecedented times.  A whole world is brought to a halt from business as usual. Most of us are under stay-at-home or safer-at-home directives, social distancing, and generally spending a lot more time in solitude and with people and pets in our households.
A global pandemic put a lot of the world on Pause.
Fascinating, because I'd rather be in that energy of curiosity than go down a rabbit hole of 'what could happen' projections.
Some things are just in a person's Soul path to experience and grow from.  I know that's true of individuals; perhaps it's true of nations and the world also.
I know many find themselves with TIME on their hands, to spend differently than they expected.  Some-day projects around the house are getting attention.  Kids are doing schoolwork online, people are working from home to the extent they can, and families are spending time together.  All except essential businesses
are closed; restaurants have carry-out only.  We are all in this together.  And the story is still in the making.
How we tell them, those stories, will affect our health, well-being, and happiness.

Tools, Resources for Calming Energy, Health

1.  Choose deliberately what energy you want to live in: Love or Fear.
Love is better for our health, immune system support.  Staying in Love energy could mean limiting attention to the news.  Choose your filters, who you listen to, what you read, and those you will stay away from.  How do you want to FEEL
Soul friend and teacher Nancy Nicholas' Soul Friends Guide to Surviving the Pit, is still a simple classic. Step 1 is Close your ears. (selective listening ... some are quite skilled at this already...)
2.  Create your environment to support calm energyThe environment always wins. ..Make your surroundings, your environment, supporting to your energy and emotions.  Background music playing; colors and art and words around you.  Youtube is a gold mine of meditations, learning videos, anything that pleases your senses.  Abraham-Hicks Well-Being meditation is a good place to start.
3. Use this Time as a priceless Gift.  Spend it artfully, delightfully, creatively, self-caringly, a project you can lose yourself in, or videos or books you've always wanted to get around to and never had the time. Now you do. That's Golden; take the Win, always!
4. Breathe, Move, Sleep well.  Take good care of Body Mind and Spirit.  From a soul perspective, this is obviously a time of slowing down, going inward, re-calibrating, for everyone.  There has never been a time like this before.  Take care of your mind.  Feed it good stuff to let you sleep well and easy.  In the fullness of time, all is well and always will be.  I am safe and taken care of.  Breathe and Move to get out excess adrenaline, uneasy energy. Notice the good stuff and talk about it. If you're going to tell stories about what's ahead, make sure you LIKE the story.  (We make up--and are 100 percent responsible for--every single story we tell. Greg Kuhn)
5.  Be present now.  Take one day at a time; spend it engaged in what you're doing.  One can't change a storm; one can change how their view of it..

Going VIRTUAL together

Like most of you, I'm working from home. And technology has become an even better friend!  There IS a silver lining to everything.  Here are some updates:

Appointment sessions are now phone calls and Video Chats, via Zoom or Facebook.  This lets us keep connected through this. Those in our member club, I'm especially here for you, a phone call away, even between our monthly sessions. Call, message me.  Angel card readings, just because?  Yes, my pleasure. (I have a personal Zoom studio; a magic link takes you directly to my virtual waiting room.)

Artist Way calls on 1st and 3rd Sunday nights are already stay-at-home friendly.  These continue as is.  They're free call-in's are for creative soul sisters.  We're loosely following Julia Cameron's time-tested classic.  Details in the Calendar listings.

Catholic around the Edges; spiritual in modern times. An online course.  .And it's my creative, learning-and-doing-something-new project during this stay-at-home time we're in.  I'm liking it; recorded and uploaded my first PowerPoint video ever, just for you! Check it out and the free session here.  Hosting Zoom video chats on Fridays at Noon (CDT).

VIRTUAL 4th Wednesday Writing Group. That's got a new twist, too.  Starts the same time, only with a half-hour Zoom chat together in my virtual private studio, with an option of returning at noon for our sharing / wrap-up.  Details again on the calendar listing.
