Dear Friend,

Home.

Odds are that you’ve spent more time at home in the past few weeks than you have in a very long time, and that surrendering to this new reality has come with a whole spectrum of reactions. While it might not be an antidote to the virus, mindfulness practice is certainly accessible 'medicine' to treat the heightened levels of anxiety and stress present in our world with calm and compassion.

Bring more mindfulness into your home and community (think evening meditations on your front lawn or balcony with neighbors...before you break into song).

JOIN COMMIT TO SIT
Commit to Sit is a three-week fundraiser and online practice challenge open to the iBme Community. Our goal is to spend time each day dedicated to meditation, and raise money from family, friends, and co-workers to support teens of all backgrounds to access our new online programming and attend our transformative teen retreats.

This year we’re partnering with Ten Percent Happier to provide you with three months of free access to their meditation app. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ten Percent has put together a selection of meditations, podcasts, and blog posts to help us ‘build resilience and find some calm amidst the chaos’.

Ready to join? We are also planning special online events during the challenge with Jessica Morey and Tara Brach.

Sincerely,
Arielle, David, and the iBme team

P.S. Commit to Sit is about deepening our practice, raising important scholarship funds, and also about having fun! That means all puns are welcome in creating team names!
