Due to recent news about the coronavirus in Iowa and recommendations from state and federal agencies, the library has been closed since Monday, March 17th for the safety of our patrons and staff. Due dates for items currently checked out have been extended to April 13th. All meetings and programs at the library have been canceled or postponed. At this time, we do not know when we will reopen. We will continue to monitor the situation in Iowa and make an announcement once it is deemed safe to reopen the facilities.
Library staff is still available for limited assistance.  Contact us:

With the increased demand for digital materials while the library is closed, BRIDGES has increased borrowing limits to 5 items at a time.    The State Library of Iowa & Monticello Public Library have also shifted funding to purchase additional titles to reduce wait times. Once you are finished with a title, go into your bookshelf and return the item to help reduce wait times.
The BRIDGES homepage features titles that are available with no waiting.  You can also choose to search the website, OVERDRIVE and LIBBY apps for items currently available.
Magazines are always available as well.
