Women have a natural affinity for bringing people together to take action and support one another.

In this time of uncertainty, it’s more important than ever that we find new ways to come together. In a joint effort to bring entrepreneurs together and give women entrepreneurs a platform to empower each other—and everyone around them—Startup Canada has launched the Women Entrepreneurs Program.

In partnership with the Coca-Cola Foundation, this program aims to support women who own businesses or those who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs to start and scale.

WEWebinars

Our upcoming Women Entrepreneur Webinars or WEWebinars will provide tools and knowledge to help women start and scale their businesses. Although the focus of these events is women, all are welcome to participate and learn for free!

The first of this series will be led by Silvia Pencak, President of WBE Canada, on the Impact of COVID-19 on Women Owned Businesses. Join us April 2nd at 4:00 pm EST to learn how your women-owned business can survive and even thrive through these challenging times, and stay tuned for more details on future WEWebinars.

About the Women Entrepreneurs Program

The Women Entrepreneurs Program is designed to support women entrepreneurs—particularly from marginalized backgrounds. Our goal is to reach and help 10,000 Women Entrepreneurs to start and scale thriving businesses by providing education, content, and resources.

So far, the program has included all of Startup Canada’s women-focused programming—from International Women’s Day to the THRIVE Podcast for Women Entrepreneurs. We’ll also be releasing a series of online events for and by women entrepreneurs.

Register for the first WEWebinar here.

Underrepresented Founders Survey

In partnership with the Canadian Women's Chamber of Commerce, the Dream Legacy Foundation, and six other groups that work closely with underrepresented founders, we've issued a survey to gather information about the impact of COVID-19 on underrepresented founders. Complete the survey by April 3:
