4 Way Test

Guest Speaker - Bill and Diane Chantler - Rotary Friendship Exchange
- attended three host families in South Africa
- 1st Host Club was Pretoria Matfield
- 2nd Host Club was Haenerlsburgm
- supports 200 creches (daycares) in the Community
- women projects KAROSS - started in 1988 started with 5 ladies who embroider, grown to 1500 women.
- made a Rotary stop in Badplass - senior women can come here for a week
- 3rd Host Club was in Middelburg
- Junior Techno Crats - science students, experiments
- Class room size here is up to 90 children
- They attended a Birthing Centre and an Orphanage - mothers have very little to nothing when babies are born. They supplied a group of mothers with care packages

Ed asked if there is a way to donate to the Community.
We can support South Africa through the Global Literacy Project - Grand Bend Club. They send containers filled with school items to Middelburg.
There was also a suggestion about using the $1000 we have in International Funds to go towards this project.  Mark will look into it along with the project Sue brought forward.
We can also try and receive a District Grant

Club Business
Helen has been busy sewing masks and caps for the Community, she is on her 89th surgical cap.

Financial
We received our last Bingo deposit from March 7, 2020 Bingo - approx $999

Fundraiser money is moved here, concerns if we don't have fundraisers we won't have money for RYE.
Seminar for Tomorrow's Leader is cancelled. Mark suggested that those members who were going to pay the registration fee for students, could they just donate the money into the fund? It is a possibility.

Anna is going home the 3rd week of May. Sue shared that George Anna's host family is setting up a drive thru good bye for her on May 11, 2020. More details to come.
