Fellow SGS Members,

Every April the Seattle Genealogical Society holds its election of officers for the next year and, when necessary, to vote on proposed amendments to the Bylaws. The current SGS Nominating Committee of Walter Clinton, Cecellia Rogers, and Judy Lysiak has put together a strong slate of candidates for 2020-21 and we thank them for their effort.

While the Nominating Committee would have liked to present a complete slate of candidates, there are still gaps and we need your help. If you know someone who could fill one of the vacancies, we would appreciate you suggesting them for a position by writing their name on the ballot. No position is so complicated that an inexperienced person cannot assume its responsibility. Sometimes it just takes someone else asking. After the election, all write-in names will be compiled anonymously by the Election Committee and the individuals will be contacted to determine if they are willing to serve.

Your email address is required for ballot validation, but it will not be associated with your votes. Please submit your electronic ballot by 30 April 2020 at 8:00 PM.

SGS members with no email address will receive a paper ballot sent by postal mail. If you wish to submit a paper ballot by mail, a printable ballot is available here. Since the SGS Library is closed through April, all paper ballots must be mailed to Seattle Genealogical Society, BALLOT, PO Box 15329, Seattle WA 98115-0329, and received no later than 30 April 2020.
