Sorry to hit you up late + fast with this, but I just got word and want to pass it along in time! Hit RagtimeRick.com at 8pm tonite and tune in for an hour or so of Ragtime Rick, Banjo Betsy, and Wes Linenkugel on the bass.

It's Wednesday -- which means that, if the world were normal, Ragtime Rick and the Chefs of Dixieland would be found tonight at 8:00 PM in their usual haunt: the Sodbuster Bar on Main Street in Sylvania, Ohio.
But the world is far from normal. The governor has ordered us to stay at home, and the news media tells us that the (virtual) sky is falling. Then, when we turn on the television or radio, it seems like every station is talking about the Corona Virus Crisis. And that isn't entertaining at all.
But for an hour or so tonight -- beginning at 8:00 PM -- we're going to try an experiment: to make the world at least resemble a "normal" planet.
Ragtime Rick and Banjo Betsy will get together with Wes Linenkugel on string bass and find out if we still remember how to play together. (None of us have played at all for a few weeks.) This will be a live performance, so there will no doubt be some flaws (both musical and technical) -- but if it actually works, it may be the first of many similar events designed to keep us together while the world is falling apart.
You are invited to be a part of this experiment and find out if it actually works. If it does, I would appreciate your comments and suggestions. It may or may not be entertaining, but at least we WILL NOT be hearing from the governor during the performance -- and that makes it well worth the price of admission (which, by the way, is free).
