Hello everyone
It already feels like a long time since our last sessions together just 2-3 weeks ago ... hope everyone is safe, well, adapting and staying firmly at home! Happily, we've all done some planning, playing and recording so we can now begin regular weekly online classes, lessons and rehearsals through phones, computers, tablets and TVs!
A big thank you to the Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust for being so flexible with their funding to help us to keep both the music and our LITL community going digitally for the next few weeks.
We've been emailing lots of you already over the last week to setup lessons (please check your spam or junk email folders just in case we're filtered out!) so the first live online drum and guitar lessons are starting this afternoon. We'll also have new videos for you each week on our YouTube channel to practise along with, for everyone learning keyboard, guitar and ukulele. These will be going online from this evening and over the next few days, and then continuing every week. We'll send out specific links for each group as we upload the videos.
If you don't have instruments at home we can try to arrange a loan and safe pickup from the community centre when possible. We also hope to have full length weekly rehearsal videos for the choir asap!
If anyone needs to borrow a basic laptop, smartphone or tablet to be able to take part, or needs the audio on MP3, CD (or tape!) instead, please get in touch and we'll try to help.
Parents ... we're a bit biased, but if you're home-schooling, music is so good to be able to include every day, even just for 30 minutes ... a little bit of daily practise and listening and progress will be rapid!
