Stories of us making it happen

codebar - THE CHARITY!

After 14 months of lots of paperwork and lengthy legal conversations we are very happy to announce that we are officially a registered charity.

We're so excited about how this development will help us expand and reach a wider audience going forward.

Here are some growth stats from 2013 when the first codebar workshop took place:

- 16,745 community members have attended a codebar event 👭👬👫
- 31 chapters around the world 🌍
- 135 organisers 🧑🏽‍💻👩‍💻
- 1304 workshops (that's 2,608 hours of learning) 💻

Stay safe & healthy

COVID-19 has posed many challenges for us all, but it has also given us the opportunity to self-reflect and come together as a community in order to find an alternative way to keep spreading knowledge away from our traditional workshops.

Keep an eye out for Virtual workshop invitations in your inbox from your local chapter and on our Slack for workshop announcements from other chapters! You can join our Slack through slack.codebar.io.

You should still follow the workshop registration process, as organisers need to know how many people and who will be taking part so they can plan ahead and help facilitate a better experience for all.

Is your company hiring junior developers? For a small fee they can post an ad on our job board to not only support us, but also make it available to our community.
