Updates from the UWM Board

Vision: A world powerfully transformed through the growing movement of shared spiritual awakening.
Mission: Advancing the movement of spiritual awakening and transformation
through Unity, a positive path for spiritual living.

April 1, 2020 (Revised: April 2, 2020)
In our desire to quickly get to you important information about the CARES Act that was written for churches and with clarity, we included in the earlier version of this update a link to material published by an organization whose beliefs and actions are incompatible with the values of Unity Worldwide Ministries. That was a poor decision and that link has been deleted.

I apologize for the error and any offense it caused. I want to thank the individuals who brought this to my attention. The lesson here for me is to practice what we teach:
Pause, Breathe, and Verify!

In love and appreciation,
Rev. Toni

and Relief for Ministries

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.        ~Viktor E. Frankl

The recently enacted CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security) Act expands various SBA (Small Business Administration) lending programs that may be very helpful to nonprofits with fewer than 500 employees, the category into which clearly most, if not all, of our ministries fit. One particularly intriguing opportunity for ministries is called the “Paycheck Protection Program.”

As you and your board begin to assess your options, here are sources you may find helpful:

Since every ministry’s circumstances are different, you will want to conduct your own research into options that work best for you.

We invite you to join with us in prayer, knowing that God is the infinite abundant source of our supply. Prosperity is now streaming forth from sources known and unknown.

Times of change are times of fearfulness and times of opportunity. Which they are to be for you depends on your attitude toward them.
