Hi <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>
"To Engage a Broken World with God's Generosity!"
And to Serve, Love, and help bring Transformation to those around us!
Another month and yet another time of Amazing Testimonies from God!
In amid the chaos of the world trying to cope with this unexpected virus, we find ourselves firmly set in the hands of God!

< << << << << << << << << <<>> >> >> >> >> >> >> >> >> >

We are so excited to share with you yet another update of our lives full of the Faithfulness of God! We know that during this time, wherever we look, there seems to be an overwhelming sense of fear and panic. But we hope that you will be encouraged by this Newsletter! That as you read the words of how God has calmed the storm for us, that you will be encouraged and filled with Hope that He is Faithful to be what you need as well! We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such a God as ours, and to see how He has been reflected in the community that has chosen to walk alongside us has been a true honor!!
Where to begin?! So much has happened, I feel as if we could literally write a book. Whether completely supernatural or simply a reminder that there is no such thing as coincidence, we are constantly reminded that our God is in control; that He is very real and very present! That as we give Him our all and follow where He leads, He is Faithful to provide!

Like the rest of the world, due to the spread of the Corona-Virus or Covid-19, England has officially been on lockdown for the foreseeable future. Which means that our movements outside are limited to only getting groceries, 1 walk or 30 min of exercise a day, and other that we are to stay inside. Before the lockdown, however, we were blessed with about 10 days of being able to go outside! It was still limited, but it allowed Jennifersara to see some of England before being confined to the apartment!
In the midst of uncertainty and distress; we can either lean into doubting God through fear, or lean into the invitation to Trust Him - knowing that He is who He says He is! But only one option can lead to Joy and Peace!

first experience on the London Underground, holding on to her suitcase, breathing in that
"fresh" air!

The family that we had planned to stay with for the duration of our time in England, unfortunately had to ask us to find somewhere else to stay. It was a sorrowful request, but their Son who underwent a Heart Transplant last year, currently just went through four sessions of chemo, and his immune system is basically non-existent. Because of this, he is at a very high risk of getting Covid-19, and at the very least would have to go into intensive care if he got it. So out of the protection of their son, they had to ask us to leave. We both completely understood, and apart of us expected them to ask this, as we were aware of their sons situation.
It was hard to hear as we did not know where we would go to, but as per usual God had a plan! In anticipation to potentially having to move prior to this, we had already reached out to another couple who said we could stay with them for a few days. We had until the following Saturday to find somewhere, and they said before we knew this that we could move in on the Saturday!! How great is God's timing!?
However this still left us with the rest of our time in England. As we continued to pray and offer up our situation to God, we leaned into the words He had gave us about our time here! The next day we heard back from yet another couple who said that they would be willing to host us for the duration of our stay, however, they could only host us from the following Monday. Again perfect timing!! Each place was a blessing in its own right, and being able to bond with those who so graciously opened up their homes to us was a true honor!! We are currently now settled into our new home, and are excited to continue to build upon the friendship we've made with this amazing couple!

We've already been able to create some awesome memories with them and had some really good conversations about God, ministry, and vision!!
Before the lockdown happened, we were able to go on a few walks with some of my friends from before! And it was an amazing opportunity for Jennifersara to build relationship with them, as well as see some of the beautiful green fields and forests that England has to offer!

Due to unforeseen circumstance regarding the Coronavirus, our visa case has most likely been put on hold, as everyone who would've had interviews around this time, would automatically be put before us. As of now, we are yet to hear anything from the NVC about Aaron's case, but we are expectant for our time here.

Once the NVC does get back to us, they will then give Aaron the date of his interview, and we will have to schedule a full Medical Check with an appointed doctor before that date. This can cost up to around $500, so please be praying that God continues to provide! He will then bring all these results to his interview, as well as every form previously submitted. At the end of the interview, or soon after, they will then tell him whether or not his Green Card has been accepted!! Once He receives his one time entry visa in his passport, we we will then transition back to the states, and continue with the next season!

Due to the lockdown and the Coronavirus, unfortunately we no longer know how long we will be in England for. By the grace of God, Jennifersara was let into the country without even having to speak to anyone; which is yet another confirmation to us that we are meant to be here. This means she is allowed to be in England for up to 6 months without a visa, which is until around September 7th. So please be praying that God will continue to give us Grace while we are here.

Thus our original plans have been put on hold but we are still hoping and planning on doing ministry when the lockdown ends, as well continue to explore around London! We are excited to continue to strengthen and build upon the friendships we have here, and plan to spend as much time as we can sharing our long term vision; as well as spending time with Aaron's family. We are trying to steward our time as best as we can and not waste it. We are currently doing lots of intercession, Bible studies, as well as reading leadership books to help us grow! We want to be intentional, but also take advantage of much needed rest!

As soon as Aaron is granted his Green Card, we will be heading to California!!! Over the past month God has opened so many doors! So our plan for the next year/year and half is that we will continue working with Youth With A Mission San Diego/Baja as Missionaries, however, we will instead be partnering with their office in Chula Vista, California! There we will be able to continue to grow in our Administration and Hospitality skills, as well growing and learning new skills and passions! This will greater help us grow and learn about all the Logistics it takes to operate a YWAM Base, as well as give us greater training! Another benefit, is that rather than operating as a 7 Day Ministry like where we are, the Chula Vista Office runs on normal office hours; which will give us a greater sense of rest and routine!! Alongside this, we both felt from God to continue to pour into and disciple the youth! As a result God has opened a door for us to partner with a Local Church as missionaries, to help develop and grow their Youth Program! This is an amazing ministry and opportunity to give back to the community that we will be staying in, as well as it will help us continue to grow in our abilities to Lead and Disciple! This is truly where our passions are and where we feel most fulfilled, so although it will only be 2 days a week (about 8 hours weekly), it will be such a great way for us to continue in that passion alongside our main roles at the YWAM Office! We are soo excited for all that God is leading us into, and all that He is speaking to us about our future in Missions!

"Delayed. Who knew that one word could cause so much faith. As we stood in Terminal 1 at the Tijuana, Airport awaiting to see which gate our plane was meant to land at, that word echoed in our minds. Any doubts, any questions that either one of us might have had about if we had made the right decision to fly to England on March 9, was being tugged at and we were immediately reminded that we were NOT in control.

After about 2 hours of waiting, we felt led to call the airline customer service of our next flight and see if they could move our flight to a different time, however, by the time we got through to we were already on the plane, buckled in, waiting to take off. We informed them that there was no way that we would make it in time, as at this point we only had a 30 minute layover in Mexico City to collect your bags (which usually take longer than that), and then had to run to the other side of the Terminal to check our bags in, go through security, and find our gate. "There nothing we can do." As we heard those words we also saw that the next flight was for the next day and that it was around $1500 dollars. "So what should we do?" we prayed out to God. In the last second just before my phone lost signal, an unexpected notification popped up on my phone. "You can now check in to your next flight." I had already checked in, but this was for the next day. Had I just accidentally purchased the $1500 ticket?

As the plane took off, we held hands and said "God whatever happens, we Trust you! Your will be done and we will follow!" Just then the plane began to violently shake. Like a lot. I have never experienced turbulence this bad. However, instead of fear we began to laugh. Everyone around us watched in amusement, as we were filled with Joy! Throughout the flight we were constantly aware that we were not going to have enough time, but were excited for the Testimony we were about to be apart of. The pilot said we were in the air for 3 hr and 30 min (the estimated time of flight), and yet somehow we had landed 2 hours before the estimated time. Did we just time-travel?! I checked the notification from before, we still had the option to check in to that flight. So I checked our bank account to see if the $1500 had been taken out, but nothing was removed. I thought that it must just be a mistake.

What happened next is the greatest part of this testimony. We got our bags and ran for about 30 minutes to the other side of the terminal, found our gate and checked our bags in. The guy at the counter was amused as we were out of breath and sweating, said "if you arrived 15 minutes later, you would've missed the check in." And this is the best part!!! He looked at us curiously and said, "You have another flight here for tomorrow, going to the same place. Same seats, same bags, same info. Do you want to go on this flight?"
This is the God we Serve!! You see here is the thing, God knew that we would run. He knew that no matter what we would give our all. So He knew that we would make the check in, and yet He still gave us the option!! We easily could've just risked it and gone with the other ticket and not run to the check in, and we would've been fine. We would still be telling the very same testimony of God's provision right now! And yet the one we are telling is even greater, because He knew that we wouldn't need it, and yet He provided anyway! That is the God we serve! Perfectly Faithful and Unfailing to provide for the calling He has placed on your life!! Plus I am pretty sure we time traveled, so there is that!!!!

"I’m in an uncomfortable season of learning what rest is. The words that echo how my spirit feels in this season, are found in a song called “Lean back” by Capital city Music.

I’ve learned so far that rest is intentional, it’s sacrificial, an act of worship - and for me- an act of surrendering everything.

Some point along my journey, I replaced rest with physical work thinking that it would satisfy God's heart and everyone I loved. I traded a restful heart for hard work. The longest time I spend working without a break was a month and a half when we were in Mexico. I remember my body aching, and my mind suffering. I remember seeing the concern in Aaron’s face as he said “ You need to rest”, and I realized I didn’t know how to do that anymore. I finally realized God's love is not earned by the things I do for him but that He simply just loves me.

So here I am, sitting in England, breathing in God's promises over this season. Knowing that He’s calling my heart back to a time where we just sat together in intimacy; and I’m learning again that God desires my time and my heart more than the things I do for him. It’s uncomfortable, it’s been hard, but it’s life giving.. I've been thinking about Genesis and how when God created the world, He dedicated a day where He sat back, breathed deep and said “It is very good”. God probably didn’t need to rest since He is all powerful but He demonstrated that rest is something to nurture and to protect. Rest is a break from work. It is an intentional time to reflect back on what God had done knowing that the world would be okay. If God is able to rest, than I can and so can you!

Exodus 23:10-12 God speaks to the Israelites about how to cultivate the land so that even the land and the animals could rest. Wow! How crazy is that... rest must be important then.

Everywhere in the world right now we are being quarantined because of the Corona Virus. With grief, uncertainty, fear, and confusion are all around us... what if we used this time to sit and learn more about rest? This could be a season where God whispers things to you without distraction of the news and social media. I believe God wants to impact our lives and speak dreams and purpose in this season.

We are stewarding what He given us well, but want to make sure that we are prepared for the duration of our stay here.

Please be praying that God will continue to bless our time here in England! That we will be able to continue to build strong relationships with people here, and that as the governments try to cope with the Spread of the Coronavirus, that we will continue to be virus free!
