  • Virtual Parliamentary Briefing on Pandemics - Date to be confirmed
The World Bank Group and the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and IMF are pleased to announce our upcoming Virtual Parliamentary Briefing on Pandemics with a special focus on COVID-19 to engage legislators from across the globe with World Bank Group senior management and experts on how to take rapid, coordinated action to mitigate the negative human and economic effects of COVID-19 and future pandemics.

This meeting will allow parliamentarians to learn more about pandemics, the experiences and best practices of their peers, and the World Bank Group’s role in providing policy advice, technical assistance, and emergency support tailored to countries’ unique needs. They will explore legislative efforts they can adapt to their country to bolster physical and human capital, protect the private sector, and limit the negative social and economic impacts on the most vulnerable.
