Napa Farmers Market Open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the parking lot shared between The CIA at Copia and Oxbow Public Market.  There will be a seniors only (65+) hour from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. The market will open to general traffic at 9 a.m. CalFresh customers double their benefits to purchase fruits and vegetables with Market Match funds. 

Feeding It Forward works to reduce waste and alleviate hunger in Napa County through collaborative efforts. We rescue excess fresh food from donors and deliver it to organizations fighting hunger in our community.

Unemployment Information

If you have lost work or have had your hours reduced we encourage you to apply for Employment Development Department (EDD) Unemployment Insurance (UI). In California Governor Newsom has waived the one-week waiting period for benefits and is looking at expanding UI claim offerings.

For comprehensive guidance and resources about state benefits related to employment and COVID-19, we highly recommend this FAQ page from EDD.

As of March 17, 2020, EDD services are temporarily closed to in-person services. Please call your nearest career center for services by appointment only. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Please claim benefits virtually if you are able. There are multiple ways to do so:

    Benefits to Those Quarantined or Sick

  • Paid sick leave law provides time off to many workers. You are entitled to use whatever sick leave you have accumulated.
  • California law provides for paid family leave, which you may be eligible for if you are providing care for an ill or quarantined family member.
  • In the event of a particularly long illness, you may be eligible for disability benefits, provided your illness is certified by a medical professional.
  • If you were exposed to COVID-19 while on the job and in the course of your regular duties, you may also qualify for workers’ compensation.
