We as Rotarians, Peacebuilders, and humans are unifying together to combat the global health threat of Coronavirus COVID-19. As Rotarian peacebuilders, let's advance this positive humanitarian response. We may be alone at home, but we are standing together in collective peace action to keep our communities healthy.

The RAGFP invites you to the Together for Peace webinar series. This series will highlight the stories of RAGFP peacebuilders and leaders and their inspiring journey to create effective positive peace action, as well as discuss the opportunities of service during the coronavirus pandemic. This webinar series will allow you to take action for peace from the comfort of your own home. So brew up your favorite tea or coffee in your special mug, bring a plate of yummy snacks, and join us from the comfort of your couch to come Together For Peace.
Our first episode with Salvador Rico was a great success. Salvador is a Rotarian, Father, and Environmental Advocate who founded the Cleaning the Rivers of the World project with the Rotary Club of South Ukiah. Salvador and Reem discussed the importance of water quality for peace, the keys to a sustainable community peace project, as well as inspiring advice for Rotarians to be People of Action. Rotarians from around the world asked Salvador amazing questions about how they can replicate river cleanups in their own communities.

April celebrates the Rotary Area of Focus of maternal and child health. This month, the RAGFP will be highlighting the peacebuilders who are supporting and empowering women and children around the globe to live healthier, productive, and happier lives.

To kick-off Rotary's Maternal and Child Health Month, we are featuring Matt Christl, the West Coast Director of Advancement for Destiny Rescue USA. Women and children around the world are vulnerable to being sold or lured into human trafficking and sex-trade. Destiny Rescue offers programs that free, empower, reintegrate survivors of human trafficking to live to their true potential. Peacebuilder, filmmaker, and Founder of From India with Love, Mandar Apte is a human who invests in ideas that create high social impact. As an acclaimed expert on leadership, entrepreneurship, and social innovation, Mandar has spoken on these topics for TEDx, universities, and conferences around the world. His film has inspired grassroots leaders from around the globe on the methods for peace activism. Listen to Mandar's journey as a peace activist and learn how to lead and activate peace through mindfulness and non-violence.

Ximena is a Peace Fellow and President and CEO of United4Change (U4C). U4C was launched to develop and implement strategies to empower women in vulnerable communities. From education, access to information, skills training, leadership development, economic development, and capacity building, Ximena and U4C believe that with these tools, females are the links that will pull communities out of the multi-generational poverty. Learn about Ximena's work with Rotarians to pave paths toward peace for communities around the world.
