A Note from the CEO

Today’s headlines can be confusing and sometimes even downright scary.  Trade wars, pandemics, stock market volatility, spring flood forecasts, the challenging ag economy, this fall’s general election.  It’s easy to understand how today’s news can make you feel overwhelmed, stressed and unsure of what to expect next.

The stories behind these headlines are great reasons to be sure your bank is meeting your needs.  As a consumer, it’s important to be sure you can access your cash when and where you need it, to have the peace of mind that comes with knowing you have the safety and security of FDIC insurance on your deposits, or to take advantage of today’s record low mortgages rates.

Farmers and business operators, it’s more important than ever to be sure your business plan is in order, your debt is properly structured and you’ve identified ways to improve the efficiency and profitability of your farm or business.

Building a strong relationship with your banker is important.  Our bankers are trained to help you identify your banking needs and our products and services are designed to help met those needs.  Our commitment is to work hard to build your trust and provide value to your banking relationship, beyond fair interest rates and fees.

Contact your banker today.  Talk about your plans, your hopes, your concerns.  Let’s work together to create a banking relationship that takes some anxiety out of your life.

Yes, today’s headlines can be overwhelming, but they don’t need to scare you.  Be prepared - for your health, for your happiness and for your finances.

To your good health,
David P. Krause, CEO

Pioneer Bank Receives Outstanding CRA Rating

Pioneer Bank received an Outstanding CRA rating from the Federal Reserve Bank during its last assessment. The CRA, or Community Reinvestment Act, seeks to ensure banks are adequately meeting the needs of the communities they are chartered to do business in. The Outstanding rating is the highest rating that can be assigned during the assessment process.

The Bright Project / Food Shelf Fundraiser

Over the past three months Pioneer Bank's Bright Project has been positively impacting our communities. At Pioneer Bank, our investment in our communities is at the heart of everything we do. Our efforts have included:

January – teams completed service projects for assisted living and nursing homes in their communities
February – collected and donated socks to various organizations (photos below)
March – each market has done something to thank our first responders

In April, Pioneer Bank is pleased to be collecting donations for our community food shelves. Money donations can be made at any Pioneer Bank location via drive up, night drop, US Mail, Bill Pay, phone call or online by clicking HERE.

This initiative is in conjunction with the Watonwan County COVID-19 Food Shelf Fundraiser and also include:

  • Greater Mankato – ECHO Food Shelf
  • Madelia – Madelia Community Food Shelf
  • Mapleton – Loaves and Fishes Food Shelf
  • St. James – Watonwan County Food Shelf
  • St. Peter – St. Peter Area Food Shelf

Thank you for your support. Together we make an impact.
