Can we talk?

So tell me how you're doing out there in these crazy times? I've been thinking a lot about you all and wishing you well.

On the private Capristers facebook group, we've been talking about how things are going. Most Capristers say they're staying home, reading a lot, spending time with their families. You, too?

Here in Tampa, despite what you hear on television, things are pretty quiet. Almost no one wandering around town. Of course, the restaurants, bars, beaches, and sporting events are all closed. So there's not a lot for people to do anyway.

As for us, it's just me and my husband and our little Miki. She's as adorable as ever. (Yes, I may be biased. And she may be a little spoiled. 😊) She gets walked four times a day, just the same as ever.

We've been ordering supplies delivered to the house, opening them outside while wearing gloves, discarding the packaging, and disinfecting everything before we bring it inside. We never ordered groceries and supplies delivered before this, so it's been quite a pleasant learning experience, actually. We're certainly grateful for all those folks who work hard to make staying home possible for us.

We're watching a lot more TV than usual. And reading a lot, too. It's fun to have a chance to catch up on everything we've missed because life has been so busy. We saw "The Aeronauts" this week and it made me think of Prepper Jack. Who knew hot air ballooning could be so tense?! (Well, all of who have read Prepper Jack, of course. But this movie is intense in a totally different way. Based on a true story.)

Otherwise, I'm working on the next book in the Hunt for Jack Reacher series which will release in November, publishing gods willing.
