This month, the UW Memory and Brain Wellness offers a variety of support and education programs to help you stay safe, connected and uplifted during the COVID-19 outbreak. Join us by computer or phone, using a free application called Zoom.

Virtual Community Wellness Talks

Every Wednesday and Friday from 1 - 1:45 p.m. during April, join an MBWC provider for a quick talk and Q&A on a topic related to living well with memory loss/dementia, or caregiving, during the COVID-19 outbreak. These talks are for people with memory loss, family caregivers, and the general public. Virtual "Coffee Chat" for persons with memory loss

Tuesday, April 7, 10 - 11 a.m.

Make a cup of coffee or tea, and come together for an informal social time with others living with memory loss or dementia. Share how you're coping in the midst of COVID-19, or offer an encouraging story or bit of humor to lift each other's spirits. 

Facilitated by program manager Marigrace Becker. Space is limited; sign up by the day before.

Virtual Caregiver Forums

 
Every Monday, 10 - 11 a.m., come together with other family caregivers to discuss caring for a loved one in this time of COVID-19. Make meaningful connections, offer mutual support, and discover strategies that work for others. Facilitated by clinic social worker Karen Clay and program manager Marigrace Becker.
Space is limited to 20 participants; sign up by the day before. Join for just one session, or multiple. Session themes are below.

Momentia Talent Share - 7th Annual!

2 - 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18

This year, UW MBWC is helping move the annual Momentia Talent Share to a virtual format! This annual event is a chance for people with memory loss and their families to have fun, be creative, and let their talents shine. Enjoy the show from the comfort of your own home, or sign up (by April 13) to share a song, poem, joke, piece of art or more. Organized by Seattle Parks and Recreation, Greenwood Senior Center, UW MBWC, Taproot Theatre, The Art of Alzheimer's and other Momentia partners.
