THE VIRGINIA OPOSSUM

Did you know that Virginia Opossums are nocturnal? They are most active at night, and they sleep during the day in a den in a hollow tree or in an abandoned rodent burrow. They depend on forested areas for their habitat, and they prefer to be closer to water. Learn more about the opossum from Chattahoochee Nature Center.
