Cyanobacteria/blue-green algae level in Plunkett Reservoir

Hinsdale, MA – Responding to a concern raised by a resident/abutter of Plunkett Reservoir, Hinsdale’s Board of Health Agent Fred Sears has scheduled water samples to be taken and tested for cyanobacteria. The test results will be released to the public as soon as they are available from the laboratory. Because of the recent cyanobacteria events at Plunkett Reservoir, and out of an abundance of caution, it is once again necessary to issue another Public Health Advisory based on the visual evidence seen on October 19th and 20th, 2020.
