April 2020

Hello, HOTV runner!

However you are spending this quarantine period, we hope you are finding
time to focus on your physical and mental health. Remember, even as we're
separated physically, we are all in this together.

Stay safe and healthy, friends!

TEMPO (aka BINGO)

Here is your chance to set some goals, stay active, and win some cool swag! Rules are simple, complete as many squares as you can between now and the end of April. We'll have prizes for anyone who gets a TEMPO on the board (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal), and some extra special swag for the first person to complete all the squares.

Feel free to share screenshots of your TEMPO board progress and tag us on social media! When you're done, just submit your marked-up board to the club email address: hotvrunners@gmail.com

Shout out to Val Stanley for putting together this fun (and hopefully motivating) game!

This Saturday, Five Star Sports is hosting a virtual run! Check out the details on their Facebook event.

OSU Research Forest Closure

Dreaming of the single track in the Mac-Dunn — or even the forest roads, for that matter? We’re with you!

Team Dirt, HOTV Runners, and the greater trail user community have begun conversations with our friends in the OSU Research Forest. Like all of us, the College of Forestry has been working hard to adjust during the pandemic, prioritizing staff safety, the continuation of their research, and student learning.

While there is not yet a date that we can mark on our calendars our club, along with our 2-wheeled counterparts, are working with the COF to examining options for opening the forest as soon as possible in a way that aligns with the guidance in Governor Brown's Executive Order, and OSU directives, as well as keeps their staff and the community as safe as possible.
