GODSGOTTHIS#

At different points, the people who followed Jesus found themselves in difficult situations that frightened them & their faith was challenged. People were suffering &  death seemed to surround them. They were caught in life-threatening storms where they thought they would die.

Each time though, God came through. Each time, they experienced the power & compassion of God. They are role models for us in this unprecedented time. These stories teach us that our faith can be strengthened through adversity. We can experience the Living God who acts in unexpected ways as He delivers us. We may suffer but God can do something remarkable at the same time. It's an opportunity for the church to say: "We may feel overwhelmed by all that's going on, but we are certain that God's got this."

Join us at 9am for an online church experience this coming Sunday to hear 1 of 4 in the series titled #Godsgotthis [links below]. The first message is called 'Unable to Help'. The only way we can address the pain in the world is through prayer. We have to turn to God, trusting Him to do what we cannot. When the needs of the world overwhelm us, turn to prayer.

When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer."

Mark 9:25-27

SHORT TERM FAITH GROUPS

There are two virtual Short Term Faith Groups specifically dedicated to the COVID-19 Crisis. There is a group to talk about the emotions & anxiety we are all experiencing & how you can actually thrive through this pandemic. And there is another on Parenting through the Pandemic with the power of prayer. There are also 2 other Groups. One is focused on friendship and the other is a recurring one uniquely designed to answer your questions on faith - called Starting Point.

Short Term Faith Groups are low pressure. All of our groups are as a matter of fact & they are made for relationship. Please consider signing up to a group if you aren't connected yet, it is a safe place to share your prayer requests, worries & joy with others. And in this season especially, we feel it's essential to our health & wellbeing to stay connected.
