Gratitude We are so grateful to the Starr King Sewers who have already sewn and delivered numerous masks, to those who have made meals, to others who have picked up groceries or prescriptions, to those offering Zoom sessions, to our wonderful youth for reading stories for our new Kid's web page, to Suzan Gannett for creating a slide show each Sunday and for the new sign in front of the Fellowship Hall. Of course we can't forget Sarah Dan for offering morning meditations each weekday at 9. Many thanks!
Sunday Service Streaming Turbulence Please bear with us as we work through all the new technologies involved with online streaming. New devices, new video hookups, new zoom settings. Each week is a new unanticipated challenge. Whack a mole! We apologize for all the bumps and appreciate your patience.
APRIL OUTREACH : GOT LUNCH-PLYMOUTH
Over the past seven summers,
Got Lunch-Plymouth has delivered thousands of bags of food, providing lunches for Plymouth schoolchildren in need. Centered at the Fellowship, the organization relies on grants and donations to purchase the food. This year, with the uncertainties and layoffs resulting from Covid19, it is likely the need will be greater than ever. Your contribution may be made online, by using the donate button on Starr King’s home page. Alternatively, donations may be sent to the Fellowship at PO Box 337, Plymouth 03264.
Your generous donation will be most gratefully received.
General Assembly is now virtual. UUA has just announced that GA is 100% virtual with a registration fee of $150. Consequently, Endowment has more funds to support attending GA. Please go to the UUA web site to register for the meeting and then go to the member tab in the Starr King website to apply for Endowment fund support.

A Note From Twinkle Manning The Rev. Twinkle Manning has filled our pulpit numerous times over the last 4 years. Below is a note from her to all of the Starr King members and friends. "A congregation I serve in Maine has made me aware that my name is being used in a scam to solicit gift cards. This has happened to several clergy colleagues of mine over the past few years and it is happening frequently now during the pandemic. As far as I know this is the first time it has happened to me. If anyone in your congregation receives an email that “looks” like it is from me (or any clergy or nonprofit), please double check the email address from which it has been sent from. Please know that if ever I or any of the congregations or nonprofits I work with are requesting support, it is always a transparent process and we are always able to take calls to discuss the programs for which the support is needed."
Starr King Book Group - The next meeting, and it will be a Zoom meeting, is scheduled for May 5th at 3pm. This means even if you’re not in the neighborhood you can still attend. Contact Ed VanDorn for more information. The selected book is The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World about the meeting between the Dali Lama and Desmond Tutu. " Nobel Peace Prize Laureates His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu have survived more than fifty years of exile and the soul-crushing violence of oppression. Despite their hardships—or, as they would say, because of them—they are two of the most joyful people on the planet." Read more here -
