LLO Conference 2020

Due to COVID-19 we will definitely not be holding a face-to-face conference in June 2020. We are currently discussing options and as soon as we have more information we will share it with you. What we do know is that we are planning on providing professional development in an alternative way and would like to make sure we are offering what you need. If you have time, please complete our needs assessment survey. Click here to access.

LLO Bookstore

LLO would like to thank everyone for their patience while we worked on getting the Bookstore back up and running after the changes due to COVID-19.

We were finally able to submit an order to New Readers Press and are expecting books any time.

If you are waiting on an outstanding order your books will be ready to ship out next week. It is important for you to let us know if you need us to hold onto the books  or  if the 'ship-to' address is different than the address we would normally ship to.

LLO Temporary Address

Like most of you, staff at LLO is adapting to working from home and the challenges that come along with it. We hope that you have been able to make things work with the limitations we are all facing.

Until we are able to return to our office it would be very helpful if any mail could be forwarded to Diana White -

Survey - LBS Supports Required During COVID-19

As challenges continue due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Community Literacy of Ontario and Laubach Literacy Ontario are gathering information from community-based LBS delivery agencies about how program staff are managing during the crisis.

We have prepared a brief online survey asking questions about various areas of program delivery, such as technology you are using in online learning with learners, how you are tracking learner progress, tools you are using to support learners, and the needs and issues facing your agency and learners.

We will share aggregate feedback from the survey with you and also the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development.

This survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please complete only one survey per agency.

Click here to take the survey.

Survey Deadline extended until Tuesday, April 21, 2020

AlphaPlus Zoom Webinars

Following up on requests and suggestions from the field, we are excited to invite you to join us for 'Zoom-in' webinars - one hour sessions to explore, compare and get tips on various tools you might be using, or considering using, to connect with your colleagues and learners while maintaining physical distancing.

To take a closer look at all topics and register, click here.

Please feel free to suggest more topics/tools and contact Monika directly at  monika@alphaplus.ca if you need more immediate coaching and/or support.
