Creation Center COVID19 Update

South SideIt's exactly a calendar month since I sent you an eNewsletter. A lot has changed. At that time, it looked like I would be able to keep the Center open intermittently. Further restrictions prevented that, and I had to close the Center on March 20th. My much anticipated trip to the UK and Ireland also had to be canceled at the last moment, because of the lockdown in Washington state. And, this week, I had to cancel my first excursion of the season - but, unfortunately, probably not the last.

So, what have I been doing? well, I have to tell you that I have been VERY busy. When the Center re-opens, I want to hit the ground running, so I have been writing new guidebooks to the area, and preparing new displays. I have also had the opportunity to give a much needed tweak to our website - you won't notice a difference in its appearance, but I have worked on "backend" issues, to keep the webstore working properly.
The new guidebooks are Mount St Helens: Ancient and Modern, which guides the traveler around the South Side of the volcano, and Mount St Helens: Chaos and Harmony, which takes you around the East Side. These two new guidebooks join The Road to Mount St Helens, - the West Side guide, which I have updated, and the general information of Mount St Helens: A Message for Today. The guidebooks are $10 each (because they have color photographs). I have also been using the material from the books to create new displays for the Creation Center.

I am so grateful to god and to you all for the level of financial support that has kept this ministry going during difficult times. When the season begins, I can normally count on donations from visitors - but the early visitors are obviously not able to come yet. So, I will just say - please remember us in your prayers, and in your financial giving, if you are able to do so. We still need more monthly donors - small monthly amounts are good! Recurring $5, $10, or $20 gifts very quickly add up!

I have also been trying to produce more podcasts and videos. Let me know if there is a topic that you would like me to cover.

Let's pray God's blessings on each of us. Please stay safe during this pandemic. I remain:

Yours Sincerely in Christ
