UPDATE: The Clinic has hired Nurse Practitioner Kimberly Sargent, who will be seeing patients via telemedicine for the clinic with assistance from volunteer Registered Nurse Keri Geiger, who will be taking vital signs and drawing labs for those patients.  This extends our hours and increases our capacity to help uninsured residents of Madison County. Welcome aboard, Kim and Keri!

The clinic is pleased to announce the addition of two new Board members, Billy Tanner, a former MCHS teacher and life-long Madison resident, and long-time volunteer and supporter, Ren LeVally, who is also serving as our Patient Services Coordinator. has been instrumental in bringing telemedicine to the Clinic, along with making our eligibility screening process available online, and most recently, making free Wi-Fi available in our parking lot for our patients, students, job-seekers and others impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our board, volunteers and staff are concerned that those residents who might have been able to obtain insurance through the market place or from their employer may not be able to afford to keep their insurance.  While what we offer does not replace a comprehensive health insurance plan, we are able to help with primary care, lab testing and prescriptions. For patients who take medicine that must be monitored by lab testing, this can actually save lives,” Madison Free Clinic Executive Director Brenda Clements explained.
Telemedicine has been shown to overcome barriers to health services caused by the distance between patient and provider, access to reliable transportation, fragmentation of care due to gaps in time between appointments, and lack of available providers.

The Madison Free Clinic is pleased to be able to offer telemedicine at no charge to our patients. While the service does require an Internet connection and a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and microphone, patients who don't have ready access to one or the other can arrange to use our facilities to "see" their provider. Please contact us for more information.
