Aloha Friends,
I hope you are feeling happy, healthy and creative. Try to smile and laugh as much as you can and help others to laugh as well. Let’s share our combined healing aloha as we deal with these new world challenges and pray especially for those who've been seriously affected by the virus.
When this all erupted, I admit that I was afraid of how it was affecting me. Stores and galleries cancelled their orders and all the teaching engagements were postponed too. As I do in tough situations, I went into deep prayer to figure out what I should do. The answer came to me instantly. The answer was… “Give”. It was not the answer I expected at first, but it was not a suggestion either, it was an order. Instantly I felt relieved because now, at least I knew what to do.
The way I can contribute the most at this time is to help people learn about themselves and nature, through art. Home-Schoolers and Stay-Homers can have access to Color Book Pages and Painting in Paradise TV shows. On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am HST. I started teaching Advanced Oil Painting Live on Facebook and on Wednesdays I’ll be teaching a short drawing lesson for the kids at 9:30am HST.

It's been really enjoyable Teaching Live from the Painting in Paradise studio in Waimanalo, Hawaii. I've been learning how to use tech knowledge to connect with my friends and answer their questions while i demonstrate my more advanced techniques. For the Kids I'll be starting 15 minute Marine Animals Drawing Lessons on Facebook Live Wednesdays at 9:30am HST For the Friends of the Waikiki Aquarium I'll be doing a different marine animal drawing lesson each Wednesday for the next five Wednesdays. Monk Seal, Honu, Shark, Dolphin and the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. It's OK, adults can watch too!
