Working from Home?

I'm no stranger to the "work at home" world as I have made this my choice since 1998, however, you may be just getting used to doing so. Whether it is now a choice or a requirement, you may have questions as to how to improve the quality of your home-based technology.  Do you have an old Modem or Router that isn't living up to your needs, a computer with less than adequate capabilities, or are you tackling a new project that you need help mastering?  Over the past several weeks, I've been handling many of these types of challenges for my clients and I am certain I can help you too so reach out to me anytime for Remote Room-Service™ .

Did you Know?

You may have an iPhone and are used to using the FaceTime App to make video calls with your friends, family and perhaps associates.  But, what if the party you are trying to reach has an Android and not an iPhone?  How do you create a FaceTime experience with them?  You could use Skype, or a 1-to-1 Zoom Meeting, but you may not have tried the Google Duo App that comes standard on most Android devices.  Yes, you can download the Duo App on your iPhone too and make Video calls to your Android contacts.  For more information checkout: https://askavie.click/Duo

Conference Call Safety

You’re likely not meeting the old fashioned way much nowadays.
Small Businesses and even families have taken to Video Conference Apps to make up for the gap in face to face communications.  “Av-course” with any digital web-based solution there is the challenge with Security.  Malicious actors are always looking for new ways to interfere and gain access to our private details. So, what can you do to improve the security of a Zoom Conference Call that you initiate?  Our friends at Wordfence offer up some tips on their recent Blog Post:  https://askavie.click/SecureZoom

Time for a Cleanup?

When is the last time you invited Your Tech Concierge™ In for a Quarterly Review? In addition to following the 4 Steps in aSKaVIE’s PC Maintenance Guide that  includes daily scans with CCleaner, Monthly Scans with Malwarebytes, and Verification that your Windows Updates are Current and Webroot is active and working, it’s also important that you have a deeper inspection on a regular basis.

Your Tech Concierge™ will remote in and verify that many of your other important details are being addressed such as File Maintenance and Organization,  Backup, Password Management, and questions that you just may have been putting off, that with answers, might make your digital life a bit easier.  Set aside an hour in your calendar and schedule a Tune-Up.  Call in or Use the Calendar in Step 1 on the Room-Service™  page to make an appointment. (Use code “SilverPlatter” and get a special $20 off coupon)

I’m looking forward to sharing some more tasty tidbits with you in the next edition of aSKaVIE's Silver Platter™.  Let me know if you have any questions anytime. Hope to hear from you soon
