An Introduction to John Marshall at Home

Join Preservation Virginia's director of museum operations, Jennifer Hurst-Wender, for an in-depth exploration of the places and people familiar to John Marshall. This webinar will explore late 18th and early 19th-century Richmond as it grew into its new role as the Capital of the Commonwealth. The program includes anecdotes and images of the many places and characters that John Marshall interacted with as a lawyer, judge and citizen.

Preservation Virginia has operated the John Marshall House as a historic site since 1911.

The webinar lasts 25 minutes and will be followed by a live question and answer segment with Jennifer Hurst-Wender. You have two chances to watch this Thursday, April 16, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m! The program is free but registration is required. Register now to reserve your spot

History Short Video Series at the John Marshall House

The John Marshall House is home to the largest collection of original Marshall family pieces. Last year, former Preservation Virginia trustee Ken Farmer of Antiques Roadshow and Ron Hurst, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's vice president for collections, conservation and museums and chief curator (and current Preservation Virginia trustee and vice chair), discussed one of our favorite artifacts in the John Marshall House!
