Dear Friends,

We would like to invite you to join us in our Passover inspired "Donate a Mask and Protect a Life" Campaign in response to Alaska Governor Mike Dunleavy and Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz call to the community to come forward and help with the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) that Anchorage is facing due to the COVID-19 crisis. 

My brother, Rabbi Shalom Greenberg, spiritual leader of the Jewish community in Shanghai, China has a member of community who sells face masks (3-PLY) at a very reasonable rate and offered to provide our community with thousands of masks (in the future, we may be able to receive N-95 masks as well).  The first shipment of masks should be arriving in Anchorage and be available to distribute this coming Tuesday, April 21st, 2020.

Several members of our community have got together and started the 'Donate a Mask & Protect a Life' project to purchase as many face masks as we can in order to distribute them to first responders such as police, medical personnel as well as those at risk. 

We invite you to join us as our community comes together at this time of crisis to help and inspire those who are risking their lives on the front lines battling the Coronavirus.

In Jewish tradition, Matzah is the "bread of faith and healing". It is our hope that this Passover holiday brings a complete healing for all Coronavirus victims, strengthens our faith that we will get through this crisis together, and bring good luck to our medical researchers in finding the medicine and vaccine for this virus.
