Checking In: Out-of-School Time

I'm OK-ish, are you?
APOST, CitiParks, PPS Office of Out-of-School Time, and Remake Learning invite the providers, organizers, artists, educators, caregivers, and more that make up the vibrant and necessary OST community in Southwestern PA and Northern WV.
This is the first in a series titled "Checking-In" hosted by Remake Learning. These are one hour virtual opportunities to connect, create space to share love and care, and to find out where the communities that enrich the lives of children are in the midst of COVID-19.
To avoid Zoom bombing, a link to the chat will be sent via email after you register.
Please send questions to ani@remakelearning.org.

How Can You Support Your Team Right Now?

Youth-serving organizations have been forced to close their doors, suspend or digitally transform their services in a swift turn. More staff are experiencing furloughs and lay offs as organizational revenues drop.

Having no guide for this situation, no way to know what staff expectations are reasonable, leaders revert to pre-COVID-19 administrative tasks to “justify” paying their teams: asking staff to attend meetings, meet deadlines and participate in professional development.

In this incredibly challenging time of stress and uncertainty, how do you support your team? Read this article here for more helpful tips and resources.
Addressing the Growing Business Concerns of COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on many organizations and businesses across the nation. Many organizational leaders are uncertain about appropriate next steps as they cope with arising issues. Connections 4 Success, Davis & Associates, and MP Kitchen Tax & Business Services have collaborated to convey actions which need to be taken by executive leaders struggling with the results of mandated alternative work environments and Stay-At-Home Orders.

During this one-hour webinar on Tuesday, April 21 at 1:00 pm, guests will receive an opportunity to hear from experts in the fields of business strategy & organizational management, human resources, and finance. Attendees will also have the option to participate in a 30-minute breakaway session with one of the presenters for an opportunity to receive more detailed information and get answers for specific questions.
