Coronavirus Message from the Executive Director, Wendy Wallace

Without the support of our dedicated volunteers, our hard-working Board of Directors, our amazing staff and our community partners,
we would not be able to report that we have not yet missed a route or a grocery shopping order through this crisis. We are adding many new clients and taking away the stress of food insecurity from many seniors, disabled adults and caregivers in Erie County. Our volunteers, veterans and newbies, are truly our front-line heroes! Thank you and be well everyone!

Office Staff Pat Woodard and MaryBeth Ford model two of the 60 masks kindly donated today by mask-erie. Thank you everyone involved in mask-erie! Masks are being made available to volunteers.Volunteers please watch your email for instructions on how to have masks delivered to you or how to pick them up. Also, let us know if you need hand sanitizer or gloves.

Volunteer Spotlight

Each month we would like to shine the spotlight on volunteers who really went above and beyond last month and give them a special thank you. This month we would like to shine the spotlight on:

Diane Murphy,
Volunteer Driver and Mask Seamstress.
We would like to recognize Diane for her donation of approximately 30 beautiful handmade masks for our volunteers. She was the first to come to our aid and to supply masks. Several days in a row she would visit our office with bundles of beautiful, sanitized masks made the night before. These are the acts of kindness that keep us smiling!

Emergency Food Boxes Delivered

With the support of the ECGRA Grant and the Second Harvest Food Bank we were able to obtain and deliver emergency food boxes containing shelf safe food for all of our clients. Pictured above is Mike Staab, MaryBeth Ford's husband. He drove the enormous U-Haul and was incredibly helpful to us along with many volunteers who helped deliver the boxes.
The deliveries took less than 3 days!
