April 15, 2020: Nearly another half-month behind us
As we march slowly together through this time, we thank you for your ongoing interest and support. Each day, each week, RVNAhealth continues to step forward -- to serve, treat and care for those who need us. This will not stop. But, like you, we look forward to new days ahead.
Today, we share with you a useful tip, some recent updates from the FDA and State of CT, and little glimpses into the lives of two RVNAhealth team members.
Tip of the Day If your eyeglasses fog up when you're wearing a surgical mask, that's because it's too loose. Pinch the top of the mask to tighten the seal. And, while you're at it, take a moment to consider the challenges of health care workers worldwide. Not only are they facing endless days and untold trials, they may be hot and uncomfortable to boot.
Recent News and Updates
Visit our coronavirus web page for recent updates from the CDC, WHO, FDA, State of CT, and other news sources. Recent entries include Information on the US food supply(how you can make a difference and why having 1-2 weeks worth of food at home is truly enough); a hand sanitizer update from the FDA (just when you thought you knew everything there was to know about it); planning for the future, and more.
Today we introduce two RVNAhealth team members who are out there working their hardest -- pandemic or no pandemic.
Elzia Pierre, CNA Elzia Pierre is the kind of person you want to be around. She is generous of spirit and good humor, deeply kind, intelligent and intuitive, and -- yes -- she's a fabulous cook, with a flair for vegetables and salads filled with flavor and color. Food that doesn't only taste good -- it is good. Those who Elzia cares for cherish her and their time together. Meet Elzia
Marie Morneau, BSN, RN Marie Morneau had her chance at an office job. When she started at RVNAhealth, she worked in quality assurance and performance improvement. But you know what? She missed the field -- missed her patients. Missed helping people directly. This spring, Marie is doing just that -- caring for home health and hospice patients and bringing her calm and strength right along with her. Meet Marie
